Simona Halep – Best Romanian Female Playing Tennis
Simona Halep is a Romanian tennis player born on 27th of September 1991 in Constanţa, Constanţa County. In 2006, she played for the first time on ITF (International Tennis Federation) circuit in Romania. The following year, Simona won 2 singles and 2 double titles and, then, in 2008, 3 singles titles and one doubles title on ITF Circuit.
She became a professional player in tennis and continued to won important titles. Loving to play tennis on every surface and working hard, Simona Halep is now the best Romanian tennis player.
Until 2013, she reached her first WTA (Woman Tennis Association) final in Brasil (2010)and started to attend great tennis events as Roland Garros, US Open, Australian Open etc. In 2011, the Romanian tennis player made her Top 50 debut after US Open.
2013 is one of the best years for Simona as she, as an aggressive baseliner, attended numerous events (Auckland, Paris, Dubai, Miami, Rome, Brussels, Nurnberg, Budapest etc.). Reaching her Top 20 in August, she won the 5th WTA title at Moscow in October.
Coached by Mr. Adrian Marcu, she is one of the most acclaimed females in Romanian sports. Proud of the former Romanian tennis players as Irina Spîrlea and Ruxandra Dragomir, Simona Halep wants to improve her game, reach Virginia’s Ruzici’s record (professional Romanian tennis player with 14 titles) and become a Romanian sports personality.
