In the middle of Izvor Park, near House of the People (Romanian Parliament), the “Children’s Miniparliament” can be found waiting for children to take control over serious facts of today’s worldwide issues: Where is the joy of innocence?

“Children’s Miniparliament” is a cleverly constructed playground that became one of the main attractions of Izvor Park, covering an area of 2.400 m2.

In 2010, at the inauguration, many children accompanied by parents enjoyed this new beautiful playground. In plus, the event was attended by five green little men promoting recycling. They were not allowed to speak, but the signs managed to make children laugh.

Soon, it became a popular place that took into account different needs: for parents – leisure activities (as there are also many other attractions in Izvor Park, as bicycles and cars with pedals for rent, recently made walkways good for skaters and cyclists, ping pong tables, fitness equipments, football area or just stretched green lawns for a picnic, a card game or badminton, but the most important, for children – playing time (including the needs of disabled children). Looking like a castle, the Miniparliament has rubber ground and numerous swings, mazes and seesaws.

Spring Park is located close to Parliament House and is bordered by Națiunile Unite Boulevard, Libertății Boulevard, Hașdeu Street and Splaiul Independenței, forming a green rectangle of 17 hectares.
